일상은 강력한 카타르시스를 지닌 이즘들로 버텨집니다. 이 이즘들은 이내 강력한 방파제 또는 견고한 성이 되어 자아를 둘러 쌓아요. 성 밖에 사고(思考) 들은 단지 나와 다른 위치에 존재하기 때문에 공격적으로 인식되기도 합니다. 성벽이 두텁고 높아질 수록, 내부의 논리들은 고립되고 외부의 변화는 두려움을 자아냅니다.

이 성에서 도망치고 싶었습니다. 이 장막을 거둬내고 싶었어요. 하지만 일상은 게임을 리셋하듯 원래 자리로 나를 돌려놓습니다. 스스로에게서부터 망명하고 싶다는 작은 생각의 씨앗이 자라기 시작했어요.

진정한 내면의 망명이 이뤄지는 날, 그 곳은 아마존 밀림과도 같은 곳일 겁니다. 장막이 거둬진 숲 속에서 햇살 한 줌을 머금고 있는 망명자들. 그들의 고독한 자유로움을 위로하고 싶은 마음을 담은 그런 음반입니다. 소리 하나 가사 한줄에 심혈을 기울였사오니 소중히 청취해주시면 고맙겠습니다. 그리고 갖은 이즘들과 일상으로 분투하고 계신 모든 분들께 힘이 되길 바랍니다.

I can’t remember since when, but about time when I vaguely understand the meaning of words such as life, love, ethics, and such, I knew this isn’t the planet I want to survive in.

I tried to avoid these feelings by telling myself – maybe I am too young, maybe there is more to learn from life, maybe someday, well…most people live just like this..

But as years go by, there were no places to go, no place to run away and certainely not a scene gave me pure joy or comfort. I am not going to say it’s not too late. I already kind of sensed it. I am not going to reach that perfect world, or dream planet with ideal orders. EXILE, that is true courage and last hope to go on. I am not courageous enough for such exile in this life time.

There are characters from books, music and movies. Some characters meet the most tragic and desperate endings. But their journey, and their will to continue their path gave much strength to go on with my life. Little Prince was one like that.

This concert, better yet this music, is my devotion to these characters. Also, it is to people who survived everyday: people who are dealing with EVERY DAY of work, EVERY DAY of news and gossips, EVERY DAY of struggling emotions and feelings. You are amazing. So Thank you, and to your very everyday life, BRAVO!
